Statistics Commercial salmon catch by the Parties The average annual catch of anadromous species by the NPAFC member countries between 1993 and 2000 is more than 850,000 tonnes. The average catch has increased from the periods before the creation of the NPAFC.
Salmon fry releases by the Parties Approximately 5 billion salmon fry are released annually by the NPAFC member countries, of which Japan releases 42%, followed by the U.S.A. (37%), Russia (11%), and Canada (10%).
